Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we’ll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one – putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.\nGraduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, you’ll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.\nAbout the Position\n\nAs an Associate Data Analyst, Management Data Analysis you will manage, support, and monitor contracts and contractual relationships for outsourced electric construction contracts for National Grid. In this role you will gather data, develop reports, prepare presentations, and make recommendations related to these contracts and serve as the point of contact for our contractors. You will also have the opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team of fellow data analysts.\n\nThis is a hybrid role based in Waltham, Massachusetts.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs an Associate Data Analyst, you will work to provide the valuable metrics on contract performance that drive the assignment of work and identify risks related to safety.\n\nIn this role you will:\n\nSummarize and interpret statistical results and designs and implement process improvements.\nAnalyze performance, business modeling, general business operations and benchmark across similar organizations.\nDrive new initiatives and work closely with key stakeholders to find a better way to develop and deliver projects more efficiently.\nDevelopment and refinement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nTroubleshoot issues, address concerns and present findings to stakeholders, both internal and external, for Distribution, Transmission, Substation, Civil and Matting categories of work.\nEnsure all data is robust, accurate, consistent, and formatted for relevant audiences, and compare and analyze plans and forecasts with actual results.\nDevelop strong working relationships with all departments involved in the organization development.\n\nWhat You’ll Need\nBachelor or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or equivalent from an accredited institution\nGraduated between May 2024 and June 2025\nAbility to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025\nValid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy\nWork authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)\nIt would be awesome if you had\nCoding experience\nData analysis experience\n\nMore Information\nSalary Range\nWaltham, Massachusetts $62,900 - $81,400 a year\n\nPlease note US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont.
