The Controller is responsible for maximizing financial returns on assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. The Controller protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Position requires collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial data. Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements is expected and regular study of existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions when required.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDeveloping internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.\nGuiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.\nDevelop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.\nEstablish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees including management accountants and internal auditors.\nDevelop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments.\nProviding support for management, particularly in commercial and financial matters.\nProvide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.\nComplete financial reports, lead month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecast.\nPerform regular financial analysis.\nRecognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.\nPreparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.\nCreate reports that help senior leadership understand\nEstablishing and maintaining financial controls with the accounting department.\nCoordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investment activities and financial planning.\nOversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.\nUnderstand and calculate risks involved in the financial activities of the organization.\nMake estimates of funds required for short and long-term financial objectives of the organization.\nPrudently make investments on assets that maximize returns.\nStrategize fund procurement through banks and other financial institutions.\nAchieve proper mix of equity and debt to minimize cost and maximize operational profit.\nCoordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.\nEnsuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.\nSupervise all audit and internal control processes.\nGuarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines.\nPlan, organize and execute financial tasks and projects of the organization.\nManage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking and reports.\nPlans and oversees the accounting functions and Staff\nVerifying/posting bank activity\nBalance/Process Accounts Payable\nReview and processing of Customer Accounts Receivable Invoicing.\nCollections\nPreparation and maintenance of UL label usage.\nOther Duties as required for accounting and administrative support.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nDegree om Finance/Accounting or related, CPA Preferred\n5 years of work experience as a Finance Manager\nThorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\nUnderstanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking\nUnderstanding of financial data analysis and reporting\nAnalytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.\nMeticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nExcellent report-writing and communication skills.\nSolid proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and other financial planning software.\nAbility to accurately read and interpret applicable laws and regulations.\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to tolerate extreme temperatures for extended periods of time, when needed.\nLift up to 25 lbs on an occasional basis. Occasional lifting and/or pushing or pulling could be required.\nGenerally, the job requires 5% standing and 95% sitting.\nNatural or corrected vision to see and focus for color and perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.\nFrequently it is required to reach with hands and arms.\nCulture/Expectations:\nAll positions vary in assignment based on the current needs of the business.
