This individual will serve as a technical leader across multiple programs, helping define architecture, guide engineering decisions, mentor team members, and drive spacecraft development from concept through deployment.This is a highly visible role with broad ownership and significant influence over both technical direction and program execution.What You'll DoLead the design and development of spacecraft structures, mechanisms, and mechanical systemsDrive architecture decisions across spacecraft platforms and payload integrationsOwn mechanical system development through the entire product lifecycleConduct trade studies and engineering analyses to support design decisionsSupport environmental qualification, integration, testing, and launch preparationCollaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, systems, and mission engineering teamsMentor and guide engineers across the organizationParticipate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical planning activitiesWork closely with manufacturing teams to ensure successful production and integrationWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline12+ years of professional mechanical engineering experienceSignificant experience developing spacecraft, satellites, aerospace vehicles, or other highly complex hardware systemsExpertise in mechanical system design, structures, mechanisms, and integrationStrong CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)Experience leading hardware development programs from concept through deploymentStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturabilityProven technical leadership experiencePreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace EngineeringExperience supporting spacecraft environmental qualification testingExperience with satellite constellations or commercial space programsStartup or fast-paced product development experienceExperience mentoring and developing engineering teamsFamiliarity with FEA, thermal analysis, and structural analysis toolsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salaryEquity/stock option packageRelocation assistance availableMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k)Generous PTO and paid holidaysPaid parental leaveFlexible work environmentCareer growth opportunities within a rapidly scaling organizationInterested in hearing more?
