The successful candidate will work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop reliable, maintainable software that interfaces with physical instruments and supports scientific workflows.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain applications using C# and .NET.\nDevelop data-access components and database functionality using PostgreSQL.\nBuild and deploy software components using Docker containers.\nParticipate in software design discussions, code reviews, and Agile development activities.\nCreate unit and integration tests and assist with system-level testing.\nTroubleshoot software defects and contribute to root-cause analysis.\nDevelop and maintain REST APIs and interfaces between software components.\nProduce technical documentation in accordance with the software development lifecycle.\nCollaborate with software, electrical, mechanical, systems, QA, and product teams.\nSupport the integration of software with pumps, sensors, controllers, and other laboratory instrumentation.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nUp to three years of professional software development experience, including internships or cooperative education.\nWorking knowledge of C# and the .NET platform.\nFamiliarity with relational databases and SQL; PostgreSQL experience is preferred.\nBasic understanding of Docker and containerized application development.\nUnderstanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.\nExperience using Git or another source-control system.\nFamiliarity with unit testing, debugging, and software defect tracking.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to learn new technologies and work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.\n\nNice to Have Qualifications\nExperience developing software for laboratory, medical, industrial, or scientific instruments.\nExperience communicating with hardware through serial, Ethernet, USB, OPC UA, or similar protocols.\nFamiliarity with industrial Linux or embedded computing platforms.\nExperience with REST APIs and distributed or service-based architectures.\nExposure to Jira and Confluence.\nFamiliarity with regulated software development, including GAMP 5, GxP, or medical-device quality systems.\nBasic understanding of process-control concepts, sensors, data acquisition, or PID control.\n\nOur mission is to inspire advances in bioprocessing as a trusted partner in the production of biologic drugs that improve human health worldwide.
