Safely and efficiently conduct changeovers. Troubleshoot process and equipment problems and performs machine adjustments which directly affect quality, output, and scrap levels. Performs all tasks in a safe manner and report all potential safety hazards to the plant safety manager, and/or management. Monitor equipment and process conditions and works to ensure that quality and efficiency standards are consistently maintained. May perform and/or lead others in equipment inspection, maintenance, and improvement projects. Responsible for the department's success in Safety, Quality, Cost, OEE and equipment maintenance. Starting Wage: $24.30/Hour + $1.50 Shift Differential Shift: Rotating Days & Nights Throughout the Month (7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM- 7 AM)\r\nIn this role, you will:\r\nFrequently perform required quality checks on finished products through specified and detailed quality control procedures each shift.\r\nProcess scrap materials using specified procedures.\r\nTroubleshoot equipment and process failures and complete some minor mechanical repairs.\r\nPerform routine and unique mechanical and maintenance tasks to remove debris/deposits from equipment and parts.\r\nRemove/replace/adjust various pieces of equipment using hand tools.\r\nShut down, clip/lock-out and clear jams manually or with the assistance of tools and restart equipment.\r\nEnter quality and production data into computer systems.\r\nManually operate packaging equipment, including occasional hand stacking of cartons and cases of finished products onto pallets or staging platforms.\r\nConduct equipment set-up changes through removing, modifying, adjusting, and/or installing parts.\r\nPerform process changes or adjustments to ensure the production of high-quality finished products.\r\nKeep raw materials, commodities, cartons, cases, and glue stocked during production periods.\r\nPerform daily and other periodic housekeeping and work area organization tasks.\r\nMaintain and update departmental equipment and production performance metrics and reports.\r\nCommunicate daily with peers and managers on departmental performance and issues as it relates to safety, quality, production, and other departmental metrics and resource needs.\r\nMay be required to perform team coordination activities related to team safety, quality, production scheduling or other core business functions.\r\nAccurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.\r\nComplete all required training in a timely manner.\r\nComplete other routine and unique tasks and projects as assigned.\r\nWhat we look for:\r\nMust be at least 18 years old.\r\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D.\r\nOne year manufacturing experience\r\nAbility to understand instructions, work procedures, reason and make judgments, problem solve, plan, coordinate, and direct own work while coping with a variety of duties and expectations.\r\nAbility to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, for up to 7 consecutive days.\r\nAbility to work occasional mandatory overtime shifts.\r\nAbility to communicate clearly and distinctly (oral and written) with peers and supervisors.\r\nAbility to perform effectively under stressful conditions, prioritizing job duties while working with team members.\r\nAbility to work occasionally at multiple-story elevations.\r\nAbility to problem solve, making decisions quickly without direct supervision.\r\nAbility to tolerate sustained standing/walking up to 10 hours a day, for up to 7 consecutive days.\r\nAbility to perform occasional to frequent lifting/pushing/pulling of up to 50 lbs.\r\nAbility to utilize good eye-hand coordination.\r\nAbility to perform occasional bending and squatting.\r\nAbility to tolerate kneeling/crawling/work in small spaces.\r\nAbility to tolerate exposure to non-weather-related hot temperatures.\r\nAbility to use coordination and dexterity in fingers while wearing protective gloves.\r\nAbility to frequently ascend and descend stairs.\r\nAbility to reach to floor level, overhead and forward to work on machines.\r\nOur Values-Based CultureOur values-based culture connects to our purpose and empowers people to be their best, professionally and personally.
