This position involves general repairs and diagnostics, often with some guidance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (such as starters and alternators), HVAC systems, and steering and suspension systems. It is expected that this technician will hold a majority of the necessary manufacturer certifications.Key Responsibilities:Utilize the multi-point inspection form for each vehicle and document all work performed and recommendations on repair orders.Communicate promptly with the service advisor about additional work needed or delays in repairs.Maintain technician proficiency per Asbury standards and conduct road tests as necessary.Perform diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance, and participate in required training and manufacturer-sponsored programs to enhance technical knowledge.Aim to meet or exceed the manufacturer's Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) goals.Complete paperwork for warranty claims and report any safety issues to management.Ensure vehicles are returned clean and in the same condition.Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.Qualifications & requirements: Prior technician experience, basic tools, and strong technical skills.
