This position is the Company’s “management representative” and is primarily responsible for the safe completion of the project(s) within budget, on schedule, within the Company’s quality standards, and to the customer’s satisfaction. The duties include leading the project team on all aspects of the project including schedule, budget, risk mitigation, safety, and quality control. The Project Manager duties include initiating action and managing the activities of the project to mitigate risk and to achieve successfully project completion. In this position, you will:\n\nPlans and directs activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters\nCreate and review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project\nEnsure project safety and quality is properly incorporated into job planning and execution\nEstablish the work plan and staffing for each phase of project fully understanding project scope and potential risks.\nArrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel\nConfer with project staff to outline work plan and set goals, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority\nDirect and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget\nGenerate status reports prepared in conjunction with project personnel and modify schedules and plans as required (i.e. weekly and monthly review) and prepare a monthly analysis\nAnalyze cost and schedule problems and initiate new alternatives which will bring the project back on course, and initiate action to execute the plan. Look for and analyze items with excessive costs.\nManage Contractual agreements and change orders.\nPrepare project reports for management, client, or others clearly keeping everyone involved aware of project progress and challenges.\nConfer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems\nManage issues and disputes between workers, clients, and subcontractors professionally and timely.\nEnsure that submittals and progress payments are processed timely.\nCoordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies\nManage supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws\nIn addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position\n\nRequirements\n\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, FAR knowledge\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from project stakeholders\nAbility to understand and interpret engineering design drawings and specifications\nAbility to develop and negotiate subcontractor scopes of work\nCapable of communicating persuasively and exercising effective negotiation techniques as needed\nAbility to form strong relationships with management, clients, and subcontractors\nSkilled in interfacing with executive management to convey project status\nCompetent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows\nAbility to develop, maintain, and effectively communicate project schedules.\nMinimum two years successful project management experience with emphasis on management of costs, schedule, communication and application of other project resources on environmental remediation projects.\nTravel: Must be able and willing to work on-site at project location with periodic travel home with project management approval.\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
