The role focuses on building production-grade automation using modern network APIs, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD practices that bring software engineering discipline to network operations. The ideal candidate writes idiomatic Python, has shipped network automation in production, and combines networking depth with practical software-engineering rigor. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners - product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders - to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions, and will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers. The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.\r\nFive or more years of network automation experience.\r\nStrong Python development skills including OOP, testing, and packaging.\r\nDeep networking fundamentals including routing, switching, and BGP.\r\nHands-on experience with Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, or Scrapli.\r\nExperience with modern network APIs (NETCONF, RESTCONF, gNMI).\r\nStrong experience with Ansible and Jinja2 templating for network automation.\r\nFamiliarity with NetBox, Nautobot, or other source-of-truth platforms.\r\nStrong Git-based workflows and CI/CD experience.\r\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\r\nPreferred QualificationsCisco DevNet or vendor automation certifications.\r\nExperience with multi-vendor networks (Cisco, Arista, Juniper).\r\nFamiliarity with streaming telemetry and modern observability stacks.\r\nOpen-source contributions to network automation projects.\r\nExperience with cloud networking automation in addition to on-premises.\r\nHow to Apply\r\nWould you like to know more about this opportunity?
