Our unique expertise in developing affordable housing allows us to also partner with the communities we serve to have an even greater positive economic and community development impact.\r\nSalary: $100,00 - 110,000 Eligible for benefits 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment\r\nJob Description\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES:The Controller will lead day-to-day finance operations of the organization, including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and grants administration. The Controller will ensure that NHS and NHDS have the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits. The Controller will work closely with management and their staff to educate non-accounting personnel about general accounting/budgeting knowledge, accounting procedures, and to explore how the accounting function can support program operations.\r\nOversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.\r\nMaintain internal control and safeguards for receipts of revenue, costs, and program expenditures.\r\nEstablish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value.\r\nThe Controller will support audit activity.\r\nConsistently analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner for NHS and NHDS.\r\nAssist the CFO in annual budgeting and planning process.\r\nAssist the CFO in engaging the boards audit and finance committees around issues and in financial operating models and delivery. Prepare financial information for the CFO for the Finance Committee and Board Meetings.\r\nManage organization cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the Executive Management Team.
