Hands-on experience with heavy duty Class 8 semi-tractors and trailers required. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package. This position is eligible for a $300 candidate sign-on bonus payable after 100 days of successful employment.Essential FunctionsResponsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of trucks, trailers, and other construction equipmentDiagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as neededReads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawingsPositive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customersPrepare proper documentation of actions takenAble to work with diagnostic equipment and or train for troubleshooting and repairsMaintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulationsOther duties as assignedSkills and Experience RequirementsMust have a strong diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical backgroundStrong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervisionMust have basic set of mechanic's hand toolsAbility to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidityAble to lift 50 lbsPrevious experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plusExperience with diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE is highly desiredBenefitsCompetitive wages.Paid Time Off and Holidays.Comprehensive Benefits Plans (Medical, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance).401(k) retirement plan with company match.ALL Family of CompaniesThe ALL Family of Companies and its affiliated branches are Equal Opportunity Employers with competitive wage and benefits packages in a drug-free environment.
