Ultrasound Technician - Pinellas Park

Humanitary Medical Center is looking for an experienced and friendly Ultrasound Technician that can work in a fast-paced environment. Job duties: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. Create images of the inside of a patient's body to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions Performs detailed examinations as ordered by the attending physician Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided Documents results utilizing our electronic medical records Establishes personal rapport with patients Protects patients and employees by adhering to company’s policies and procedures Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, policies, and OSHA regulations Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continued education, training and interaction to other ultrasound technicians Supports study binder maintenance with up-to-date study documents and correspondences This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Requirements: Certificate of Completion from an accredited program Bilingual – Fluent in Spanish and English Must have experience in Abdominal, Vascular and Echocardiogram is a must. One (1) year of experience in a clinical setting with direct patient care Understanding and ability to follow MD protocols for procedures Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job Minimum of one year of experience as an ultrasound technologist Ability to be multitask and prioritize Previous experience with elderly care helpful Must have patience to deal and work with elderly and/or patients with disabilities Understanding of patients' rights and responsibilities HIPAA awareness Work well under stressful conditions and treat patients with respect and dignity Able to write, read and speak clearly Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong decision-making and organizational skills Must be able to work with limited supervision Capable of managing difficult or emotional customer situations by responding promptly to members needs and requests Must exhibit good active listening and comprehension skills Supervisory Responsibilities: None Work Location: In person Physical Requirements/Working Environment: Ability to stand most of the time, or walk as needed Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear Able to kneel, crouch or stoop if necessary Able to lift up-to 10 pounds, bend, often move objects and assist patients to move Work in a well-lighted, clean environment Fast Paced environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
