Lift Assembly TechnicianThe Lift Assembly Technician assembles lift components such as frames, actuators, mounting bases, and accessories according to engineering specifications and work instructions. This role uses hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment to build high-quality products, while closely following safety protocols and contributing to production goals in a collaborative team environment.ResponsibilitiesAssemble lift components, including frames, actuators, mounting bases, and accessories, in accordance with engineering specifications and detailed work instructions.Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.Inspect parts and finished products to verify quality, fit, and function, and identify any defects or nonconformities.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the work area, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized workspace.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily and weekly production goals and meet deadlines.Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines, and promptly report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues.Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the assembly process.Essential SkillsDemonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to understand how mechanical components fit and function together.Hands-on experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and similar equipment.Hands-on experience using power tools in a production, construction, or mechanical assembly environment.Background in construction, general labor, production, assembly, or mechanical assembly work.Ability to read and follow work instructions and engineering specifications with attention to detail.Commitment to following safety procedures in a manufacturing or non-climate-controlled environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in mechanical assembly or lift assembly is a plus.Previous experience in construction or general labor that involved frequent use of hand and power tools.Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.Ability to maintain a clean, organized work area and care for tools and equipment.Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing production requirements.Why Work Here?You join a team that values employee well-being, professional growth, and recognition. You should be comfortable working in varying temperatures and in a manufacturing-style facility that emphasizes safe tool use, organized workstations, and collaboration with other assembly and production team members. Dress is practical and appropriate for a shop or manufacturing environment, suitable for working with tools and mechanical components.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, TN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
