You’ll be part of a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive team that values your ideas and contributions.\nSummary:\nUtilizes knowledge to program, set-up, operate and inspect a variety of CNC and manual machines to efficiently produce prototype and production parts to specification.\nResponsibilities:\n\nWorks with a variety of materials, tooling, and machine operations\nInterprets engineering drawings and sketches to plan, layout, and establish set-up procedures\nInspects first-run and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment\nPromptly and accurately completes all required recordkeeping\nPerforms machine maintenance per preventive maintenance instructions\nMaintains the machine and surrounding working clean, safe and organized using 5S practices\nMay develop and improve machine processes and documents process data sheets\nComplete deburr process as directed by area supervisor\nMaintain security and confidentiality of customer and internal products and documentation\nParticipate in providing timely feedback to upstream and downstream operations as appropriate\nProactively participate in site Lean engagement and activities.\nProvide feedback on ways to reduce scrap created within the process by recommending corrective action to reduce or eliminating root cause.\nAdhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.\nComply and follow all company security policies and procedures.\nMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nAble to perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above and Level 2\nWorks with a wide variety of complex materials, tooling, equipment and machining operations\nInterprets complex engineering drawings and blueprints using associated machining and dimensioning principles\nMay work closely with engineering in developing and optimizing product part requirements and processes\nMay offer recommendations for changes or improvements to the process based on experience and knowledge\nRecognized as area expert in being able to perform and train in others in challenging or specialized areas\nHas wide latitude for using independent judgment with minimal supervisory oversight.\nMay interact with customers as required.\nServes as a mentor as well as a backup to the Team Leader or supervisor in their absence.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical procedures\nDemonstrated ability to lead within a work group\nStrong troubleshooting ability and regarded as area Subject Matter Expert (SME)\nArea SME to assist in resolving the most complex and challenging situation\nNormally receives limited instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.\n\nOther information:\n\n8+ experience in CNC programming and processing software\nAbility to read, interpret and understand complex blueprints\nAbility to write reports, document processes and procedures\n5+ years in a machinist leadership/mentor role\nAbility to read, write, and perform basic-advanced math\nAbility to program highly complex machine operations\n\nMUST HAVE:\nExperience with Mastercam software and Machining background.\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nGeographical Location: Arizona: Tempe\nPhysical Location: Tempe, AZ - Southern Ave\nShift: Shift 1\nWork Schedule: M-F 0800-1630\nFull Time\nExport Control:\nThis job position may include access to controlled information or technology covered under applicable U.S. export control laws.
