This is a full-time, in-office role focused on building accurate, competitive estimates and working closely with our project teams to set jobs up for success from the start.You’ll be involved in everything from take-offs to final pricing and will play a key role in how we pursue and win work.What You’ll Be DoingPrepare accurate cost estimates from conceptual through construction documentsPerform quantity take-offs and analyze labor, material, and time requirementsWork with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricingReview drawings, specs, and project documents to develop complete scopesCollaborate with project managers and field teams during preconstructionHelp track and manage budgets during the estimating phaseBuild and maintain strong relationships with subs, suppliers, and clientsContinuously look for ways to improve estimating processes and systemsWhat We’re Looking ForExperience in construction estimating (commercial preferred)Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and Divisions 01–33Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and bid documentsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsComfortable working with estimating software and ExcelStrong communication skills—you’ll be working with a lot of peopleAbility to adapt as project scopes and priorities shiftBonus Points:Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldExperience with conceptual estimating and budgetingWhy ComstockStable company with a strong backlog of workTeam-oriented environment (people stick around here for a reason)Variety of projects—not the same thing over and overOpportunity to have a real impact on projects from the start
