System Integration Engineer","description":"Role Description\n\nWe are looking to recruit an exceptional Robotic System Integration Engineer to work on integrating, testing, and deploying our robotic solutions in the lab and in the field.\n\nIn this role you will:\n\nIntegrate and debug the robot power, actuation, wired/wireless network, and inertial/perception/force/torque/tactile sensing systems.\nDiagnose and resolve robotic system hardware and software integration issues related to kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, perception, and control.\nDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans for full-robot systems and subsystems.\nWork with suppliers and external partners to integrate third-party components.\nDeploy field applications, drive integration with customer side systems, and manage system level integration in order to deliver customer success.\nParticipate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nAuthor and maintain documentation for system architecture, integration, and debugging procedures.\nContribute to defining integration best practices and improving development workflows.\n\nYou will work closely with the Controls, Hardware, and Autonomy teams to ensure seamless integration and optimum performance.\n\nQualifications\n\nMust-have:\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.\nHands-on experience with industrial automation field buses (e.g., EtherCAT, CANOpen) and related debugging tools.\nProven expertise in commissioning and fine-tuning actuation systems.\nStrong proficiency in creating and executing detailed test plans.\nExperience in requirements gathering, test system design, and test implementation.\nProficiency in programming languages such as C++ and/or Python.\nFamiliarity with modern version control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub).\nSelf-motivated, proactive problem solver with a proven ability to prioritize and address complex challenges effectively.\nEnthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment, with a flexible and collaborative approach.\n\nNice-to-have:\n\nProficiency with tools like ROS2, Docker, and Ubuntu Linux.\nExperience deploying robotic solutions in production environments.\nHands on experience with algorithms for
