Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.\nRESPONSIBILITIES Provide input and direction in the sourcing, design, construction, PPAP and Launch of new tools, fixtures and equipment for future programs and current changes.\nAssist Tool-Room personnel and/or vendors in solving problems arising from production processes, tool tryouts and launching of new programs.\nEstimate, schedule and execute all engineering changes of tooling, cost savings, etc. Co-ordinate these changes with Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance departments to ensure timely try-out and phase in periods to meet production schedule requirements or customers delivery dates.\nProvide technical support for product development and design.\nUse technology on new and current processes and tools to meet or exceed customer specifications.\nPerform other duties as determined by the Engineering Manager and/or General Manager.\nStay informed of latest technologies with respect to tooling. Report on and implement those ideas, which will be of benefit to the Company.\nEstablish new and superior sourcing methods for new tooling, which will ensure capability and improve, cost effectiveness of tools for the program (prototype and/or production). Assist Program Managers to prepare internal quotes for new / existing programs and all engineering changes by issuing, coordinating, and proposing tooling and gauge suppliers.\nWork with production to implement Poka Yoke methods.\nWork with Quality Engineer and others to establish characteristics and achievable tolerances for SPC.\nWork in compliance with IATF Standards.\nMaintains due diligence regarding environmental matters, minimize any potentially harmful accidents and work in compliance with ISO 14001.
