This position will involve quality checking, testing, and provide high tolerance, high quality parts in a demanding environment. This position is located in Livonia, MI.As a Cylinder Head Technician, you will be responsible for:Completing valve work and blendDisassembly, cleaning, quality checking, crack testing using nondestructive methodsMaking quality decisions based on known life/usage and condition of the partsMeasurement, preparation, re-assembly and test of various components to a defined standard and specificationEngine and component recordkeeping through appropriate documentationInspection of cylinder heads and components, and verification they are compliant with project requirementsMachining of components and assembly to project specificationsUse measuring equipment to verify parts are within specificationsTo be considered as a Cylinder Head Technician, you will need:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of cylinder head and automotive machine shop experienceExcellent shop math skillsMust have own basic hand toolsAble to complete all assigned tasksAbility to use and read micrometers and indicatorsA Successful Candidate Will Also HaveExperience with honing, boring, and decking engine blocks Ability to port and blend cylinder headsAbility to hone, bore and deck engine blocksProven ability to operate Serdi, Newen or Rottler valve seat cutting machinesAbility to work overtime as needed including weekendsIf you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.
