Using expertise in Java, Oracle, Azure, cloud data platforms, and CI/CD, the position enhances applications, resolves production issues, improves performance and automation, and supports strategic technology initiatives—ensuring accurate, timely deliverables for users.Key Roles And ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development: Design, develop, test, and implement applications that meet business requirements and user needs.Application Maintenance: Enhance existing applications, resolve defects, improve performance, increase automation, and maintain compatibility with evolving technologies.Requirements Analysis and Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and user stories, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.Quality Assurance and Support: Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing. Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing technical, operational, and production support.Technical Leadership: Independently lead significant development initiatives, establish technical direction, and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams.Project Delivery: Manage development activities, dependencies, and risks to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within scope.Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to development practices, application architecture, scalability, and system performance.Supervisory ResponsibilityNone.Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.5+ years of experience in application development or software engineering.Required Technical SkillsExpert-level experience with Java, J2EE, Java Servlets, and Apache Tomcat.Strong experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.Advanced proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Apache Ant, and Bash scripting.Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong working knowledge of Linux and Linux-based environments.Preferred Technical SkillsExperience with Angular and/or React.Knowledge of PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.Familiarity with Python, Perl, Go, and Node.js.Experience with Databricks and Snowflake.Our Lead Applications Development jobs earn between $143,800.00 - $215,800.00 USD Annual.
