Key responsibilities are to perform stem cell isolation from cord blood and cord tissue processing. Familiarity or proficiency in blood and tissue processing, cryopreservation, flow cytometry, cell quantification and ABO typing is preferred. Knowledge of aseptic technique and clean room protocols is a plus. Familiarity with standard data analysis software and the ability to track results and formulate reports according to established policies and procedures is required. In addition, the incumbent will assist with receipt of supplies and reagents, quality control, maintenance of laboratory and equipment. Responsible for understanding and abiding by all applicable cGTP and cGMP regulations; AABB, FACT and FDA guidelines. This position reports to the Laboratory Manager.\n\nDuties:\n\nPerforming cord blood and cord tissue processing, cryopreservation, and formulating reports according to established policies and procedures.\nMaintaining appropriate records and documentation within the LIS to ensure testing accuracy and reliability.\nResponsible for understanding and abiding by all applicable FACT and AABB standards, OSHA, cGTP, cGMP regulations and applicable guidelines as set forth by the FDA.\nWork in a biosafety level-2 (BSL-2) work environment\nAssisting in the receiving of specimens and set up for processing.
