The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, inquisitive and organized with keen attention to detail. Successful candidates will be focused on compiling and coordinating operational and accounting/financial information related to natural gas rate cases, annual reconciliations and regulatory plans. Prepares other miscellaneous monthly, quarterly and annual compliance filing requirements. Develops and maintains appropriate revenue reconciliation models and procedures which comply with regulatory policies and company tariffs. Position is responsible for assisting in budgets and monthly financial closing activities.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nProvide documentation for regulatory filings\n\nDevelops and maintains appropriate revenue reconciliation models and procedures which comply with regulatory policies and company tariffs\n\nRegulatory research skills:\nAbility to interpret and relate complex information in a user-friendly manner\n\nSolid problem-solving skills\n\nResponsible for producing Monthly Financial Report and Monthly Projection Report for the businesses.\n\nSupports the annual budget process to assist in the completion of each major budget management task.\n\nTechnical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:\nTechnical Knowledge/Skill:\nKnowledge:\n\nStrong knowledge of basic accounting theory , accounting practices/procedures\n\nStrong knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability in all areas of financial reporting, analyses and financial model management\n\nFinancial acumen including a basic understanding of financial concepts and financial modeling\n\nSkills:\n\nStrong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills including the ability to draw sound conclusions\n\nDemonstrated skill working with large computer databases and data file manipulation\n\nDemonstrated skill with Accounting System\n\nDemonstrated skill with MS Office applications (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPlan) as well as Internet-based tools and resources\n\nStrong detail orientation as well as the ability to be thorough and precise\n\nAbility to multi-task and shift among multiple priorities simultaneously\n\nStrong spoken and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with others\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely-related discipline required\n\nActive work towards or completion of a related advanced degree preferred\n\nExperience:\n\nMinimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience\n\nLicenses & Certifications:\n\nMust hold a valid motor vehicle driver’s license\n\nWorks Conditions:\n\nMust be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.\n\nMust be available to travel between CT and MA as necessary.\n\nMental Aspects\n\nN/A\n\nCompetencies:\nBuild trusting relationships\n\nManage and develop people\n\nFoster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration\n\nLead change\n\nCommunicate strategic vision\n\nCreate an engaged workforce\n\nFocus on the customer\n\nTake ownership & accountability\n\nCompensation and Benefits:\nEversource offers a competitive total rewards program.
