This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing team responsible for ensuring seamless freight movements across North America for our customers.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have a background in transportation and logistics, with excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for communicating directly with external partners such as carriers and suppliers to resolve daily freight movement issues. This role requires the ability to quickly understand business impacts, pull and analyze data from multiple systems, and drive process improvements to eliminate root causes of defects.\n\nKey job responsibilities\n\nMaintain constant, tactical communication with external freight partners (carriers, suppliers, and customers) and internal stakeholders (product, business intelligence, sales, and fulfillment centers)\nExpertly pull data from various databases using tools like Excel, SQL, and Access to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis\nPublish performance metrics to help drive business results and identify areas for improvement\nSystematically escalate issues or data variances to the appropriate teams and follow through on resolutions\nMeet tight deadlines to address critical business needs while tracking and measuring your own activities\nDemonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations\nA completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon work experience\nDegree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or related field\nExpertise in MS Access and SQL\nProficiency in Lean and Six Sigma\nExperience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments\nDemonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.\nAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
