Working 2nd shift, you'll provide spiritual guidance and counseling to individuals facing various challenges including addiction, homelessness, and other life difficulties. This role is crucial in supporting our beneficiaries' recovery journey through spiritual guidance and rehabilitation planning.Pay Rate: $19.00 per hourStatus: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week8:00am-4:30pm, slight flexibility with supervisor approvalOccasional evenings and/or weekends requiredKey ResponsibilitiesCounseling & AssessmentConduct in-depth interviews with new beneficiariesProvide individual and group spiritual counselingDesign and manage individual rehabilitation plansMonitor and evaluate program effectivenessLead interactive journaling and group sessionsAssess and address spiritual needs of beneficiariesProgram ManagementMaintain detailed case notes in Service Point databaseTrack rehabilitation progress and update plans as neededComplete Self-Sufficiency Matrix assessmentsCoordinate with community agencies for additional servicesDevelop and implement special projects as assignedMonitor work therapy progressDocumentation & ReportingMaintain secure online beneficiary filesComplete weekly case notes and progress reportsUpdate electronic records within deadlinesProvide statistical information for monthly reportsDocument service delivery and program outcomesQualificationsRequired QualitiesDeep desire to help people experience ChristPersonal testimony of God's faithfulnessSome counseling experience preferredStrong communication and presentation skillsSkills & AbilitiesProblem-solving capabilitiesIntermediate computer proficiencyAbility to manage confidential informationStrong documentation skillsExcellent interpersonal abilitiesWhat We OfferMeaningful work in spiritual careProfessional development opportunitiesRegular training and workshopsSupportive team environmentPhysical RequirementsRegular sitting and talking/listeningClose vision abilities for computer workOffice environment with minimal noiseTravelLess than 10% travel for retreats and conferencesThe Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
