The Cloud Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, test, and implementation of secure and reliable network connectivity to cloud services (e.g., commercial cloud services providers (CSPs), private cloud, and hybrid cloud) leveraging the current network environment to facilitate migration of applications to the cloud. Responsibilities include:\r\nPosition Roles and Responsibilities\r\nExperience building Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI), Netbond, Direct Connect and VPN connections.\r\nLead Migration from legacy on-prem networking to the Cloud Networking.\r\nDeploy and manage virtual servers in the Cloud.\r\nDeploy and manage containers in the Cloud.\r\nDeploy and manage elastic IPs and elastic network interfaces in the Cloud.\r\nDeploy and manage Cloud based load balancing.\r\nResearch, evaluate, and recommend new cloud technologies.\r\nProvide internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, company management and departmental clients. Assist in internal training programs.\r\nMust be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.\r\nKnowledge, Skills & Experience:\r\nAt least 7 years of hands-on experience in Network Design, Network Engineering, Network Operational Support and Cloud engineering experience of Medium to Large enterprise network environments:\r\nAmazon Web Services (AWS) Public and Private Cloud.\r\nAzure Cloud.\r\nGoogle Cloud.\r\nExperience with Cloud Service Routers (CSRv).\r\nExperience building Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI).\r\nExperience migrating from legacy on-prem networking to the Cloud Networking.\r\nExperience with Cloud Identity and Access Management.\r\nExperience deploying and managing virtual servers in the Cloud.\r\nExperience deploying and managing containers in the Cloud.\r\nExperience deploying and managing elastic IPs and elastic network interfaces in the Cloud.\r\nExperience deploying and managing Cloud based load balancers.\r\nExperience with implementing audit trails.\r\nExperience with Cloud based monitoring solutions.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nThe physical demands of the job include bending, crawling, sitting, lifting 50lbs at most.\r\nOther Duties\r\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
