Includes grinders, drills, and presses.\r\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\r\nOperates assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses. Operates saws, drills, and grinders. Consistently meets production requirements.\r\nMaintains clean and safe work area.\r\nPacking finished materials into dunnage and also loading and unloading.\r\nChecks that the finished workpiece conforms to the specifications.\r\nCompletes documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets.\r\nStarts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions and also may fix issues that might occur during the shift.\r\nNature and Scope\r\nSelects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.\r\nUnder close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.\r\nNone.\r\nWork Environment\r\nTypically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.\r\nRequires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.\r\nNo travel required.\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nHS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nAbility to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.\r\nAbility to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.\r\n1 to 3 years' related experience.\r\nIf you're looking to play a role in building America, consider one of our open opportunities.
