Senior Accountant

Jefferson Wells is seeking a Senior Accountant for one of our clients in Naples, Florida. This is a contract position with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent. Our client is a good company to work for with a great culture. The pay rate range is $35/HR - $45/HR depending on level of experience.Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings. Reconcile accounts payable and receivableAnalyze transactions and prepare reportsPerform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures and investmentsForecast revenue and analyze profit marginsOversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable. Participate in budgeting processesBrief senior managers regularly on the company's financial statusLiaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returnsEstablish accounting policies and proceduresStay informed on industry developments and changes in regulationsRequirements for consideration:Proven hands-on experience in Accounting Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial proceduresUnderstanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience with accounting softwareAdvanced MS Excel knowledge (experience with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detailIntegrity, with an ability to handle confidential informationBS degree in Accounting or FinanceAt Jefferson Wells, (www.jeffersonwells.com), we have built a reputation for results-driven, innovative workforce solutions that help companies create competitive advantage.
