This is a player-coach role: you'll be hands-on with the work, manage and develop one direct report, and operate with significant autonomy and direct visibility to senior leadership.You'll own our pricing/promotions experimentation program end-to-end, lead promotional strategy and performance analysis, and build out our discount budgeting capability. You'll also create and optimize a cross-functional pricing strategy, bringing a more coherent and intentional approach to how we price and discount across ecommerce, retail, and emerging channels.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end pricing/promotions testing roadmap - prioritize the backlog, design tests, set stakeholder expectations, analyze test results and drive rollout decisionsSet the promotional strategy, calendar and prioritization; partner with your direct report on executionDevelop new promotional structures and ideas grounded in performance data and competitive intelligenceSynthesize competitor analysis to inform our positioning and calendarOwn stakeholder communication on promotions and test expectations across the businessPartner with finance and analytics teams to understand how promotional strategy impacts business performance, and make data-driven adjustments to achieve goalsPartner with acquisition team to identify opportunities to personalize promotions across channels in order to improve media performanceBe a leader in the adoption of AI-driven approaches for personalized promotions, leveraging models to optimize conversion rate and promotional spend efficiencyBuild and own discount budgeting capability - track, model, and communicate promotional spend and ROIUse financial modeling to recommend promotional changes and evaluate their conversion and margin impactManage and develop one direct report, coaching them on analytical skills, business acumen, and stakeholder communication QualificationsRequired6+ years of experience in growth, ecommerce, promotions, pricing, or a related analytical function - with a track record of owning experimentation and using data to drive business decisions; backgrounds in growth product management, lifecycle marketing, or pricing strategy are all strong fits.Strong analytical background - you're proficient with SQL and can independently design, analyze, and draw conclusions from A/B tests without relying on a data teamExperience with promotional or marketing performance analysis, including financial modeling and conversion analysisDemonstrated ability to manage and develop talentClear, structured communicator who can translate analytical findings into business recommendationsComfortable operating with autonomy and building structure in areas that are still maturing Nice to HaveExperience with discount budgeting, promotional P&L, or financial planningFamiliarity with product pricing strategy or distribution channel managementBackground in direct-to-consumer or subscription businessesExperience working alongside or embedded with Data Science teams on experiment designStrong understanding of ML models and AI decisioning What Values You'll ShareCustomer Obsessed - Building deep empathy for our customers, putting them at the core of our work, and developing strong, long-term relationships with them.Aim High - Always challenging ourselves and others to raise the bar.No Ego - Maintaining a "no job too small" attitude, and an open, inclusive and humble style.One Team - Taking a highly collaborative approach to achieving success.Lift As We Climb - Investing in developing others and helping others around us succeed.Lean & Nimble - Working with agility and efficiency to experiment in an often ambiguous environment. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually.
