Ongoing research in the Yin lab focuses on investigating the cell type‑specific role of mitochondria and mitochondrion‑derived signals in the onset and progression of Alzheimer’s disease, their interaction with peripheral metabolic organs, as well as the development of novel therapeutics by targeting these pathways.
