HSE Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager to lead our organization’s safety initiatives and foster a culture of safety excellence. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies aligned with industry standards such as OSHA, DOT, EPA, PHMSA, and other federal, state, and local regulations through regular audits and monitoring. Perform risk assessments for field operations, collaborate with fleet management on mitigation strategies, and maintain emergency response plans. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, ensure notifications, and manage environmental reporting and record-keeping. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence. Coordinate safety training sessions, including CPR, first aid, OSHA compliance, and specialized environmental courses, to ensure all staff are well-informed and prepared. Oversee workers' compensation processes by ensuring proper documentation, report writing, and adherence to workers' compensation law requirements. Experienced in ISNet, Veriforce, OSHA, and other site-specific training as needed to stay compliant. Maintain accurate records of safety activities, incident reports, training logs, and compliance documentation for internal review and regulatory audits. Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare teams for potential incidents or environmental hazards. Collaborate with Human Resources for onboarding and training. Create, implement, and maintain all safety procedures Monitor, revise, and implement updates to safety regulations, laws, or reporting requirements. Plan, develop, and implement safety training for new employees and annually required programs. Order and maintain inventory of all Personal Protective Equipment. Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace and conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices. Provide advice and counseling on all compliance regulations. Experience Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and EPA regulations. Demonstrated expertise in EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) management systems with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong background in report writing, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and developing corrective action plans. Knowledge of workers’ compensation law procedures coupled with experience managing related documentation and claims processes. Certified in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety standards, or related fields is highly desirable. Experience delivering effective training & development programs that enhance team knowledge on health & safety topics. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence safety culture at all levels of the organization.
