Accounting Supervisor / Accounting Manager (Hybrid: Duluth, GA)

Accounting ManagerDuluth, GAHybrid: In-Office - 3 days, Remote - 2 daysThe Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the execution of accounting processes for several critical areas for the business including Rebates, Leases, Accounts Payable, Legal, P&L Reviews and related controllership compliance reporting. The position reports to the Senior Director, Accounting and coordinates the daily activities of the team to accurately record the financial transactions generated by business activities. The Accounting Manager works closely with partners in the organization in the development, implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures and controls related to the operational accounting area. The position also plays a crucial role in implementing system enhancements to streamline current processes and will have opportunities to participate in special cross functional projects.Role & Responsibilities Manage team of Senior Accountants and offshore team in the performance of assigned accounting areas for month end close, financial statement fluctuation reviews, account reconciliations, supplemental reporting and ad hoc requests.Training, development, and performance management of the team to consistently meet deadlines and KPI metricsSupport the business with timely financial reporting and analysis, as requiredReview monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting deliverables, including, but not limited to, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysisUse financial and accounting experience and acumen to analyze and interpret data to make any recommendations on possible courses of action to improve processes, gain efficiencies and streamline work, where neededEnsure all financial transactions are properly recorded with sufficient documentation to support the business purpose of the transactionsReview and enhance the monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and assist team in researching differencesDrive standardization across financial processes of the regions and operationsCoordinate with department management to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures; recommend improvements to policies as approppriateProvide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support both internal and external reportingSupport Operations and FP&A reporting as requiredUnderstand and execute internal controls related to accountabilities; proactively seek opportunities to strengthen internal controlsSupport external and internal audit requirements Partner with FP&A, Financial Reporting, Branch Operations, A/R & A/P teams and/or Franchisee groups to ensure that the business accounting needs are metSupport management with financial analysis as requiredEnsure agreed upon Service Level Agreements are met Ad-hoc tasks and/or projects as necessaryDrive standardization across financial processes of the regions and operationsCoordinate with department management to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures; recommend improvements to policies as appropriateProvide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support both internal and external reportingSupport Operations and FP&A reporting as requiredUnderstand and execute internal controls related to accountabilities; proactively seek opportunities to strengthen internal controlsSupport external and internal audit requirementsPartner with FP&A, Financial Reporting, Branch Operations, A/R & A/P teams and/or Franchisee groups to ensure that the business accounting needs are metSupport management with financial analysis as requiredEnsure agreed upon Service Level Agreements are metAd-hoc tasks and/or projects as necessaryPreferred Education and ExperienceBA / BS degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 7 years accounting experienceMinimum of 3 years accounting management experience2 years in public accounting is a plusProfessional accountancy certification such as CPA, CIMA, ACCA, ACAConsistent, demonstrated leadership skillsExcellent knowledge of accounting, GAAP procedures and SOX controllershipCompetencies (Skills and Knowledge)Ability to effectively multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while supporting team objectivesSelf-starter who demonstrates flexibility, sound judgment, and a high level of integrityProven leadership capabilities with a strong operational and technical accounting foundation; proactively drives resultsAction- and goal-oriented mindset with a strong team focus, consistently fostering a collaborative environmentStrong accounting and technical expertiseSolid financial acumenHigh learning agility and intellectual curiosityStrong analytical and quantitative skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate a cross teamsMeticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and qualityAbility to build and promote teamworkUnwavering commitment to integrityEmploybridge offers a competitive base salary plus monthly bonus potential!
