This role combines hands-on fieldwork with data analysis and report preparation, working directly with industrial facilities to ensure testing is performed accurately and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.\n\nResponsibilities\nConduct and oversee stack testing and emissions sampling at industrial facilities.\nTest smokestacks, exhaust systems, boilers, furnaces, engines, and other stationary emission sources.\nSet up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot emissions testing equipment.\nPerform testing in accordance with EPA methods and applicable state and local regulations.\nAnalyze test data, perform emissions calculations, and review results for accuracy.\nPrepare technical reports, sampling documentation, and testing records.\nWork directly with clients, facility personnel, laboratories, and regulatory agencies.\nAssist with testing protocols, sampling plans, and project coordination.\nMaintain compliance with company and client safety requirements.\nTravel regularly to industrial facilities, including occasional overnight travel.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.\n2+ years of experience in stack testing, emissions testing, source sampling, environmental consulting, or a related field preferred.\nKnowledge of EPA stationary source test methods and air quality regulations.\nStrong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nValid driver's license and willingness to travel.\nPreferred\nExperience with EPA Methods 1–4, 5, 7, 10, 18, 25/25A, 26/26A, 29 or similar methods.\nExperience with CEMS/RATA, particulate, metals, VOC, NOx, SOx, CO, or other emissions testing.\nQSTI, EIT, or PE certification.\nExperience with Title V, NSPS, NESHAP, or other air quality regulations.\nWork Environment\n\nThis is a field-oriented engineering position requiring travel to industrial facilities.
