In each of our regions, we are the best in radiology, offering all radiology services!Job SummaryThe Mammography Technologist will operate computerized and manual radiological equipment for diagnostic purposes.Our Ideal TeammateIs a self-directed learner who is willing to apply direct feedback and continuously and humbly self-assess in order to grow personally and professionally.Will work under general guidance with some expectation of autonomy.Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.Has the ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Essential Functions Of a Mammo TechnologistPerform screening and diagnostic mammograms, including 2D and 3D tomosynthesis.Educate patients on the procedure, address anxieties, and obtain relevant medical histories.Calibrate and operate specialized X-ray machines, adjusting density and contrast for optimal image clarity.Assist radiologists with interventional procedures like stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations, and galactograms.Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly QC tests to ensure equipment complies with FDA/MQSA and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards.Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate follow-up care as required by federal regulations.
