Summary The Bartender takes guest orders politely and effectively, using the opportunity to suggestively sell food and beverages without pushing the guest. Thoroughly knows and consistently follows all of Jean George and The Hermitage Hotel’s service basics, guidelines and standards. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Arrives on time and ensures that preparation is complete for a successful, smooth shift. Prepares and maintains the cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas. This includes pulling all necessary alcohol and storing it at proper temperatures. Has excellent knowledge of the menu items and all alcoholic beverages including techniques of preparation and unusual ingredients. This includes daily specials and wine List. Knows and understands the Tennessee Alcohol and Beverage Commission laws and obeys them by checking for proper identification when serving alcohol. Acts as guard of safety for all guests by not allowing over consumption of alcohol.
