CMF is a vital part of GCF’s Business. We are a converting operation that produces specialty fibers used in the production of diapers, filtration products, and other absorbent personal care products.Production Technicians are expected to work as versatile, multi-skilled team members in a continuous process manufacturing environment. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and successfully complete a comprehensive assessment process.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Safely operating and working effectively in an industrial manufacturing environmentAdapting to a fast-paced, dynamic work settingPerforming duties in varying conditions, including hot or cold environments, as well as dusty or dirty areas; , and safely working around hazardous chemicals with proper training and personal protective equipment (PPE)Operating mill mobile equipmentWorking in high noise environments while using appropriate hearing protection and following safety protocolsMaintaining cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the millSupporting mill operations, including preparations for outages, winter conditions, and other operational needsCompleting additional duties and assignments as required On the job training may involve the physical, technical, and mechanical skills necessary to:Climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop, and handle materials safelyMonitor, adjust, and control operating equipmentConduct tests and inspections to evaluate product quality and process performanceAbout You: Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesRequired Skills And/or Experience(s) Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceMust be legally authorized to work in the Unites StatesBasic computer skills and proficiency Able and willing to:Comply with all personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety requirements Work in an industrial environment (with proper safety training and protection), which may include exposure to:Head and/or cold conditionsDust, dirt, and noiseHazardous chemicalsHeavy machineryElevated work areasSuccessfully complete training and certification to operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, clamp truck)Work a rotating schedule, including both day and night shiftsWork overtime as neededWork weekends and holidays on a regular basisSuccessfully pass a pre-employment drug screenComplete a job-related medical or health assessmentParticipate in periodic drug testing in accordance with Company policyPreferred Candidates Have The Following Skills And/or ExperienceProven work stability, demonstrated by a consistent employment history, including at least two years with a recent employerExperience working in an industrial or manufacturing environmentPrior experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts and/or clamp trucksCompletion of relevant technical training or certificationsParticipation in workforce development programs (e.g., Ready to Work or similar initiatives)Core CompetenciesThe Ideal Candidate Demonstrates The Following Behaviors And StrengthsDependability: Consistently reliable, responsible, and accountable in attendance and performanceTeamwork: Works collaboratively and effectively within cross-functional teamsCritical Thinking: Uses logic and sound judgment to analyze problems and develop practical solutionsSelf-Motivation: Demonstrates initiative by pursuing training opportunities, striving for advancement, and responding positively to feedback for continuous improvementLeadership Potential: Displays initiative, accountability, and the ability to positively influence othersAbout Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF)Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products.
