This will include design, system analysis and project management as well as selection of equipment, components, and systems.\n\nThis position requires a person who is self-motivated, organized and creative with the ability to multi-task. They must have the ability to work as a productive and engaged team member in a fast-paced environment. Strong initiative and follow-through are essential for this job.\n\nCore Responsibilities\nAnalyze and develop appropriate designs solutions for new and existing buildings with emphasis on high performance mechanical design and sustainability.\nPerform project management duties for small to medium sized projects acting as the lead engineer and project manager responsible for overall project delivery and budgets.\nPrepare design packages for HVAC, fire suppression, and plumbing systems, including preparation of documents, drawings, scopes of work and technical specifications.\nPerform a wide array of mechanical design functions, including equipment selections, system sizing, load calculations, product specifications, and design layouts for mechanical system.\nCapable of in-field audits/investigations, surveying existing conditions, feasibility studies, basis of design reports, and recording information about building components.\nImplement best practice engineering methods and produce drawings consistent with client requirements and standards.\nAssist with the preparation of project budgets and schedules.\nImplement ATCE quality assurance procedures during the design process.\nReview product data submittals for conformance to contract documents.\nCoordinate, support, and communicate with colleagues across disciplines.\nConduct strategic evaluations and propose innovative solutions for technical design issues.\nManage tasks as required to ensure work is completed on time and within the budget.\nAttends and is an active participant in the design and construction project team meetings.\nMaintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nMust exhibit technical competency and be able to design projects and direct/train/mentor junior engineers and designers.\nEnsure that designs are compliant with Building/Energy Codes and LEED standards.\nPerforms submittal reviews and ensures timely responses to RFIs.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nThis is meant to summarize the role’s responsibilities and provide some information and structure. Master’s degree and/or Project Management accreditation is preferred but not required.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) License preferred.\nLEED Accreditation.\n\nEssential Requirements\nHighly Proficient in Revit, BIM 360\nStrong working knowledge Energy Pro, CBECC.com or eQuest\nStrong knowledge of State and local Building Codes\nHighly proficient in Trace 700\n\nSalary\nThis is a hybrid role. It is anticipated that the working days in the office will be done at our San Francisco, CA office. The expected salary range for candidates who will work in San Francisco is $120,000 - $140,000.
