Responsible for organizing, sorting, and transferring goods from one location to another. Monitor company packages from the start to finish, ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices. Update inventory records and regular reports for the management. Also extends to taking care of customer requests and complaints.Key Role ResponsibilitiesObtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the companyMaintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basisMove materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areasIdentify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventoryPrepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading themOperate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freightComply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelinesSchedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipmentsKeep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managersEnsure adherence to environmental management and systemsPerform other duties as assigned or directed which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.Qualifications and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent2-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferredMust have an eye for detailMust be able to work well in a teamAbility to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidanceAbility to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materialsAbility to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer softwareWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekendsWE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every daynVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
