About The Role We’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Seamster to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in production at Magic Items. You will hand sew leather wallets (vegan leather options are also available) with a needle and thread and take part in weekly Seamster exchange meetings. What You'll Do Sew vegan-leather wallets according to the instructions we provide. Take part in weekly “Seamster Exchange Meetings,” which includes bringing your work and materials into Magic Items Headquarters (HQ). Receive feedback on work and make any adjustments in person to ensure consistency and quality standards. Take home new work to bring back for the next week. Progress through a tiered production path: Seamster in Training: A 4-week onboarding phase focused on learning basic hand sewing, consistency, and quality. Qualified Seamster: Transition into a long-term role and becoming a fully integrated team member. Output & Compensation Seamster in Training (Onboarding Phase) Timeframe: Approximately 4 weeks. Target Output: 85–100 bags total. Compensation: $300–$500. Qualified Seamster (Long-term Role) Minimum Weekly Output: 50 bags Weekly Hours: ~ 10 to 30 hours (at Seamster’s discretion) Monthly Compensation: $900–$4,000 (dependent on output) What We Are Looking For Exceptional attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to accuracy Proactive problem-solver who identifies technical mistakes before implementation Quick learner who actively seeks constructive feedback for continuous improvement Highly observant with the ability to detect inconsistencies and variations in sewing patterns Reliable and punctual with consistent follow-through on commitments Excellent communicator who engages professionally with seamsters at all levels Active listener focused on truly understanding requirements and expectations Dependable, accountable, and dedicated to maintaining high standards Prerequisites Experience or interest in hand sewing/embroidery a plus Enjoys crafting and repetition.
