This role will focus on project scheduling, tracking progress, monitoring performance, and ensuring successful project execution. This position will be based in either Washington (WA) or New Jersey (NJ).\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nDevelop, maintain, review, and analyze CPM schedules\nCreate schedule layouts for different work scopes, disciplines, and contractors\nDevelop, manage, and forecast project budgets and finances\nCreate and customize project controls reports\nReview contracts and project specifications and apply them to project tasks\nContribute to writing letters, narratives, and reports\nPresent project status reports at team meetings\nWork with a program and project management team\nTravel to project sites for status meetings when required\nSupport other project/business tasks as needed\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\n Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred), Business Management, or a related field required.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in project controls within the engineering and construction industry, including project scheduling, schedule tracking, progress reporting, and monitoring project performance.\nExperience using Primavera P6, including resource loading\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel\nThorough understanding of the critical path method (CPM) and earned value management (EVM)\nKnowledge of recommended practices for project controls\nAbility to use project controls tools and create and customize reports to suit client needs\nStrong presentation and analytical skills\nHigh attention to detail\nAbility to understand and adapt to various client standards, preferences, and procedures\nStrong communication and relationship building skills\nEnjoys interacting with people and working with groups\nAbility to independently get involved in a fast-paced project setting\nAbility to travel as necessary\n\nCOMPENSATION\n\nSalary will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant.\n\nAlpha 3 is focused on delivering management and technical services to companies that own, operate, or develop infrastructure assets, particularly in the energy industry.
