This position plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in a machining environment. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, manufacturing methods and quality control standards.\nPrimary Duties And Responsibilities Include\nImproving the casting scrap rates, mold density, productivity rates, reducing MRO spend related to the casting process.\nDevelop mold spray map strategies, optimizing energy costs related to the casting process, minimize product gating, and develop process parameter controls, to meet or exceed plant budgeted goals.\nThis role involves leading collaboration efforts with product design, casting tooling engineers within our facilities, and tooling engineering within the supply chain.\nCompetitively bids casting tools, mold pre-heat burners, and trim dies. S\nSix sigma problem-solving tools should be used to document the process metrics and quantitatively evaluate ongoing continuous improvement efforts.\nThis role will have a strong voice in enhancing process controls within the logic of the casting machine.
