Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for a versatile Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong background in web development to join our growing product team. Our organization focuses on building robust, end-to-end software solutions tailored for the evolving compliance and operations landscape within the regulated botanical and specialized agriculture sectors. With over ten years of experience, we are a scaling enterprise expanding into diverse regional markets and establishing ourselves as a technical leader in our niche.This is a hybrid role based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Candidates must reside in Puerto Rico or be willing to relocate. You do not need to be in San Juan, candidates can reside on any part of the island.Core ResponsibilitiesArchitect, build, and sustain innovative features for our core web applications.Deliver clean, maintainable, and rigorously tested code that aligns with industry standards.Partner with cross-functional team members to influence architectural direction and implementation strategies.Diagnose and resolve intricate technical bottlenecks and system bugs.Engage actively in peer code reviews and high-level technical brainstorming sessions.Technical Requirements2–5 years of professional experience in full-cycle web application development.Expertise in Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework (specifically Rails 7+). We\'re open to candidates with solid experience in other languages such as Java, C#, C++ that has also done full-stack web development.Familiarity with modern Rails ecosystems (such as Hotwire, Turbo, or Stimulus) is a significant advantage.Practical experience with relational database management, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema modeling and query optimization.Proficiency with front-end build pipelines (Vite, Webpack), package management (npm/yarn), and UI component libraries.Proven track record of implementing automated testing suites using RSpec, Minitest, or similar frameworks.Experience managing application deployments on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Heroku, GCP, or DigitalOcean).Professional ExpectationsMust be at least 21 years of age.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile startup environment.Comfortable engaging in professional discussions regarding regulated substances and industry-specific compliance.Successful completion of a standard pre-employment background check.Commitment to a professional, sober workplace environment.Preferred QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.Hands-on experience with React or other modern reactive frontend frameworks.Strong grasp of RESTful API design and integration.Exceptional communication skills with a high degree of analytical problem-solving ability.J-18808-Ljbffr
