This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position that comes with a generous benefits' package.\r\nThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' cooking experience. This position ensures the efficient operation of the kitchen and dining area, preparation and serving of meals, and clean-up of kitchen and dining area.\r\nEssential Functions\r\nProvides oversight of daily kitchen / food storage operation.\r\nAssist FSD in food ordering, and departmental work orders / requisitions.\r\nAssist FSD in establishing and maintaining a cost control/inventory system.\r\nAssist FSD to make work assignments to kitchen staff and volunteers.\r\nPrepare and serve food.\r\nComply with state health regulations in the operation of the kitchen, including maintenance of proper sanitation by wearing plastic gloves, hair nets, and aprons.\r\nSanitize all cooking utensils.\r\nEnsure dining room is set up and tables and floors are clean before and after meals.\r\nKeep kitchen refrigerators, walk-in refrigerator, freezer, and all drawers and cabinets countertops, equipment and floors clean and organized at all times.\r\nKeep all foods in the refrigerators labeled with date and contents.\r\nThe full job description will be provided to candidates selected for the interview process.\r\nPhysical and Working Conditions\r\nMust be capable of performing the above essential duties. Capable of frequently lifting 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Will occasionally move 50 or more pounds using dolly/cart/truck.
