To maintain inventory accuracy and organization in the rail lot, both in the finished goods area and base bars storage.\nWhat does success look like?\nSafety is a fundamental value at Metalsa and a component of all positions within the company. Therefore, underlying each position is the prerequisite to be able to perform the essential functions of one’s position safely and in such a way as not to endanger one’s self or others. This requirement is consistent with the company’s commitment to operate a drug-free workplace and in keeping with the provisions set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act.\nManage the day-to-day activities of the Logistic Technicians. Check Kronos regularly to insure that no unacceptable trends in attendance or punctuality are occurring. Distribute and assign workload as necessary.\nManage the day to day lot activities for the side loader operators. Ensure they perform their duties required to keep the plant supplied with rails and empty trolleys in a timely manner.\nAct as super user and resource for the people or departments that use Oracle. Investigate and correct the source of errors that prevent timely creation of Oracle shipping documents.\nResponsible for the implementation of RF scanners for inventory control. Execute training and coaching of the operators to insure the discipline of matching physical and logical moves is maintained.\nResponsible for developing and maintaining a cycle count program to insure the most accurate inventory possible.\nResponsible for warehouse operations following MOS Storage Control and Material Identification practice.\nGather information on work related activities for the Logistic Techs and the Side Loader operators in order to complete annual reviews in a timely manner.\nEvaluate and improve current shipping processes and document procedures. Through MOS Shipping Board practice.\nThe aforementioned represent essential functions of the position described, i.e., the primary responsibilities required of the position.
