You will answer and direct calls, complete computer input of phone requests and requisitions as directed by the supervisor, and accurately fill supply and equipment requests. You will ensure supplies and equipment are delivered promptly according to assigned schedules and help keep essential materials moving where they are needed most. You will also pick up and deliver mail to the Mail Room and Medical Records and Health Information Services, contributing to the efficient flow of information throughout the hospital.\r\nA caregiver in this position works days 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. including rotating weekend and holiday requirements. When scheduled on the weekend, a caregiver may choose 2 off days during the week.\r\nA caregiver who excels in this role will:\r\nAnswer clear and/or direct phone calls from the Materials Management Department.\r\nAssist patient care staff with identification of supply needs.\r\nMaintain scheduled orders and deliveries on time.\r\nPick-up and delivery mail to the Mail Room and Medical Records to Health Information Services.\r\nComplete data entry and retrieval of information within computer system.\r\nMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:\r\nHigh school diploma or GED\r\nPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:\r\nOne year of experience working with patient care supplies and equipment\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nMust be able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds.\r\nMust be able to manipulate carts in high traffic areas including elevators.\r\nPersonal Protective Equipment:\r\nFollows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.\r\nKeywords: patient care equipment, healthcare, distribution, materials management\r\nThe policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
