You will work closely with regional sales channels, customers, product management teams, and internal stakeholders to provide product expertise, application guidance, and technical support that drives customer success and business growth.\n\nIn this role, you will help identify the best vacuum solutions for customer applications, support product launches and qualifications, deliver technical training, and act as a key resource for product selection and application development. Your expertise will contribute to strengthening Leybold's position as a trusted partner in vacuum technology.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nServe as the primary regional technical resource for assigned product lines.\nSupport sales teams and customers with product selection, application suitability, and technical guidance.\nRecommend vacuum equipment solutions based on customer processes and application requirements.\nDeliver technical training and product presentations to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.\nSupport new applications, customer qualifications, startup activities, and field evaluations.\nDevelop and maintain expertise in vacuum technologies, applications, and market trends.\nCollaborate closely with global product management, sales channels, service teams, and technical support functions.\nAssist with quotation development and customer-facing technical discussions.\nSupport regional marketing initiatives and product promotion activities.\nDocument customer feedback, technical findings, and application knowledge to support continuous improvement.\nParticipate in customer complaint resolution and warranty support activities as needed.\nTo succeed, you will need\n\nEducation & Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience will also be considered.\n3–5 years of experience within the vacuum industry preferred.\nExperience with cryogenic pumps, ion pumps, residual gas analyzers (RGAs), high vacuum (HV), or ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems is highly desirable.\nExperience supporting technical sales, product management, applications engineering, or product marketing functions.\n\nKnowledge & Skills\n\nStrong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.\nCustomer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value and building relationships.\nAbility to work collaboratively across multiple teams in a dynamic environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nHigh level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.\n\nAdditional Requirements\n\nValid driver's license.\nAbility to travel up to 30% domestically.\nAbility to work in office, laboratory, manufacturing, and customer-site environments.\nIn return, we offer\n\nAt Leybold, you will be part of a global organization recognized for innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence.
