Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities. The Division of Hematology and Oncology within the Department of Medicine at UT TYLER SCHOOL OF MEDICINE is recruiting a full‑time faculty member specializing in research and clinical care of breast cancer patients. The breast oncology program at UT TYLER SCHOOL OF MEDICINE is a multidisciplinary program consisting of surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast imaging, and pathology sub‑specialists. The selected candidate(s) will have the opportunity to lead the breast oncology group and clinical research program, continuing to expand the existing breast oncology clinical trial portfolio. Ideal candidate(s) would be able to build a cross‑disease site early phase clinical trial program with others in the UT TYLER SCHOOL OF Medicine and UT Health East Texas Hope Cancer Center. The selected candidate will also participate in the clinical and instructional activities of the Division of Hematology and Oncology. Responsibilities Duties may at times include any combination of the following: patient care, teaching, independent or sponsored research, administrative duties, community outreach, and university‑related public service. The exact distribution of these responsibilities will vary from time to time according to university, department, division needs, your interests, and the candidate’s career trajectory. In general, this application will be expected to be a productive member of the university community, whether productivity is measured by patient care, active research, teaching and administrative service. Time will be divided between research activities and clinical activities, including patient care, outreach, teaching and administration.
