This position supports enterprise cybersecurity initiatives through risk assessment, compliance monitoring, security awareness training, incident response coordination, and cybersecurity program development.\n\nThe Cybersecurity Program Analyst collaborates with IT leadership, business units, and external partners to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems while supporting compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA. Responsibilities are aligned with LSC's security and compliance objectives.\n\nEssential Responsibilities\nCybersecurity Operations\nMonitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities.\nAssist in the investigation and documentation of security incidents.\nSupport threat detection, risk mitigation, and vulnerability management efforts.\nRecommend improvements to strengthen organizational cybersecurity posture.\nGovernance, Risk & Compliance\nSupport cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.\nAssist with internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.\nHelp maintain documentation for regulatory and security requirements.\nMonitor adherence to established security and privacy practices.\nSecurity Awareness & Training\nCoordinate and support cybersecurity awareness initiatives.\nEducate teammates on security best practices and emerging threats.\nPromote compliance with security, privacy, and HIPAA requirements.\nServe as a cybersecurity resource across departments.\nCollaboration & Program Support\nPartner with stakeholders to implement and improve security controls.\nCoordinate with internal departments and external technology vendors.\nAssist in developing cybersecurity metrics, reports, and program documentation.\nSupport strategic cybersecurity projects and initiatives.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\nThree or more years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, risk management, or compliance.\nKnowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, security controls, and risk management practices.\nUnderstanding of privacy regulations and HIPAA requirements.\nStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred\nIndustry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or similar.\nExperience with security monitoring tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.\nExperience supporting compliance initiatives in healthcare or nonprofit environments.\nKnowledge of Microsoft 365 security, cloud technologies, and identity management.\nWhy Join LSC?\n\nAt Lutheran Services Carolinas, you'll use your cybersecurity expertise to help safeguard the systems and information that support critical services for children, families, older adults, and communities throughout North and South Carolina.
