while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.\nPosition Purpose\nJunior Applications Engineer should have a working knowledge and familiarity with concepts of process design, specification review, and project execution related to custom engineered systems.\nResponsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks\n· Prepares supplier requisitions based on customer specifications\n· Read customer specifications related to process, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation\n· Work under the direction of Applications Manager\n· Ensures bid package is prepared to meet customer's requirements in a technically efficient and commercially viable manner.\n· Works closely with Project Engineers & Project Managers to ensure a seamless handover of sales orders.\n· Attend Kick-off and design review meetings with project team.\n· Assists Applications Manager with preparation of proposals and evaluation of equipment performance to assure the best application is met per customer specifications.\n· Obtains and evaluates vendor quotations covering vendor inquiries and preparing lowest evaluated vendor costs.\n· Be able to generate P&ID’s, Instrument and Valve datasheets.\n· Evaluates new suppliers and qualifies new technical products to improve costs and efficiency.\nQualifications\n· B.S. from a four-year college or university, in any Engineering branch, is preferable\n· College degree or 3+ years field experience\n· Working knowledge of AUTOCAD preferred\n· Proficient in MS Office\nJob Type:
