Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Unpack, examine, and route outgoing shipments; identify and resolve discrepancies in outgoing orders as needed. Operate lift trucks, hand trucks, and stretch wrap banders. Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of outgoing shipments and materials. Make arrangements for pick-up by carriers specified on customer purchase orders. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Ensure an adequate supply of shipping materials is available at all times. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition and follow all prescribed safety regulations. QualificationsAt least two (2) years of experience in print or manufacturing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
