Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS) is a specialized team serving as a trusted partner to the federal government. We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure.\n\nPay range: $30.00-$38.00 per hour. Negotiable based on experience\n\nLocation: National Nuclear Security Campus (NNSA), Kansas City, MO\nShift: First Shift, roughly 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday (some weekend overtime may be required at times)\nBenefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment\nVacation: Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total)\nTravel: None, all work is based at this location\n\nAs a Security Technician, you will:\n\nConduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance and service, and commissioning of integrated / electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include, but not limited to, access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems, primarily working with SoftwareHouse C-cure 9000\nMay install cabling, security devices and infrastructure at times in accordance with installation plan according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines\nMay assist with security system programming and setup\nConducts testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs\nConducts testing of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service\nCoordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls\nMay help prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions from Supervisor\nConduct End-User training.\nProvide accurate information for as-builts documentation.\nAdheres to safety standards and works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.\nPerforms other duties as required\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nExperience installing, inspecting, troubleshooting or repairing commercial or industrial integrated / electronic security systems for low voltage access controls, intrusion detection, CCTV and digital recording systems.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.\nAbility to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.\nBasic computer skills\nCapable of using hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment\nWorks well unsupervised and also as part of a team environment\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DoE) security clearance required. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.).
