Uses expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug MS Azure-based systems.\nEssential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:\nDevelop and maintain PaaS solutions in Microsoft Azure.\nResponsible for application development in support of overseas automation and business processes.\nResponsible for cloud development to include Microsoft Azure, GCS, or other cloud service providers.\nResponsible for supporting, updating, and securing new and existing applications.\nServe as liaison between senior management and users of its many business units to include overseas environments.\nDesign and create web-based forms. Implement workflow to automate administrative processes.\nDesign and develop advanced reporting capabilities.\nDesign APIs for integrating with both external and internal applications.\nTechnical support in all facets of web technology from site planning, design, development, and maintenance to working with database engineers on database connections, data repositories, etc.\nProvide technical consulting to include performing requirements analysis, providing solution options, providing plans for implementing options and performing implementation strategy and developing implementation schedules for network-based projects.\nProvide specialized training to other technical staff as required.\nAssist in analyzing the administrative processes and programs relevant to Dept. of State systems assets.\nWork Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nMust have an active Secret clearance.\n2+ years relevant experience Knowledge of government standards for cyber security and information assurance, including encryption standards and the federal enterprise architecture (FEA) (required).\n2+ years of experience in the use of .NET Core, .NET MVC, Visual Studio, GIT, and applications (Required).\n2+ years of experience programming with C#, Javascript, HTML, CSS and other coding languages for the development of web-based applications.\n1+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks, especially React.\nKnowledge of SQL and noSQL technology including legacy and cloud hosted databases (required).\nExperience with source code management using Azure DevOps and Git (required).\nExperience with Microsoft Azure preferred.\nExperience with mobile development preferred.\nExperience using tools like Atlassian Jira, Azure DevOps, and Zendesk for managing the software development lifecycle (preferred).\nExperience in overseas US Government software development projects with remote teams across different countries and continents, and to have Department of State specific experience working with overseas mission staff.\nExtensive knowledge of cloud productivity suites, including Microsoft’s Office 365 and Google G-Suite.\nDemonstrated experience with the technical and conceptual environment of web development, especially with tools relevant to interface design, the creation of interactive web pages, database connections, interactivity, and the creation of customized graphic images.\nThe ability to communicate technical as well as non-technical information clearly, both orally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences (required)\nAbility to use web-based tracking systems for incident tracking and project management.\nExperience with popular web browsers including Google Chrome, FireFox and Apple Safari (required).\nBachelor’s Degree\nEducation:\nBachelor’s Degree\nClearance:\nActive Secret clearance is required\nWorking Environment & Conditions\nThis job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
