Security Engineering Lead (Fortinet)

Overview To lead the implementation of security engineering activities across enterprise infrastructure systems, ensuring stability, integrity, and optimal performance. The role includes hands-on technical support, system design, capacity planning, and systems integration. Key Responsibilities: Systems Implementation: Execute phased implementation covering analysis, design review, installation, and testing. Product/Project Development: Define requirements, success criteria, and design optimal solutions with both business and technical teams. Infrastructure Engineering: Lead initiatives for infrastructure stability, performance, and availability. Production Support: Provide high-level support for troubleshooting and resolving production infrastructure issues. Technology Solutions: Recommend emerging technologies to address business challenges. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain and update system documentation and ensure adherence to Incident and Change Management protocols. Firewall & Network Security: Architect, configure, and maintain firewalls and network security solutions, including Fortinet platforms (Fortimanager, Fortigate, FortiSandbox, etc.). Disaster Recovery: Contribute to the design and planning of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solutions. 24/7 Support: Participate in on-call support for system outages or failures. Technical Expertise: Fortinet Platforms: Extensive experience with Fortimanager, Fortigate, FortiSandbox, Fortianalyzer, and Fortiauthenticator. Network Security: Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, load balancers, proxies, and microsegmentation (e.g., VMware NSX). System Design: Knowledge of multi-tier application architecture, cloud technologies, and integration. Tools: Proficient in Scrutinizer, log analysis tools, and troubleshooting DDOS communications.
